Bio – Dexter Freeman

After serving 20 years as a firefighter, I’ve dedicated my life to helping others—first by protecting lives and property, and now by guiding families through one of the biggest financial decisions they’ll ever make: homeownership.

Today, I’m proud to be a Loan Officer with Guild Mortgage in Cornelius, where I help clients secure the financing they need to achieve their dreams of owning a home. The transition from firefighting to lending has been incredibly rewarding because it allows me to continue serving my community, just in a new way.

Outside of the office, I’m a proud dad of three amazing kids. I stay active in their lives, both cheering them on and coaching their teams, which is one of my greatest joys.

Whether it’s finding the right loan program, simplifying the process, or celebrating at the closing table, I bring the same dedication, trust, and teamwork from my fire service career into every client relationship.
