Hi! I am Tamaya Mays and I’m the proud owner of Studio 1Six, LLC! I have been a licensed cosmetologist for 9 years. I specialize in natural hair, makeup, and locs.  I am an appointment-only salon. My hours of operation are Wednesdays 11:30-5, Thursdays 9:30-5, Fridays 7-5 and every other Saturday 7-1.

I’m a native of Newberry, SC. I moved to Columbia in 2000 and to Rock Hill in 2010. I earned a BS degree in Elementary Education from Claflin University (then College) in 1998 and graduated from  Empire Beauty School in 2013.

In my spare time, I love spending time with my husband of 20 years, my 2 children, family and friends. I also enjoy singing with the praise team at my church and cooking.
